About Us

Adare Office Trailers is a family business.

Geoff and Sarah Tingley run Adare Office Trailers from their home on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

Geoff TingleyGeoff Tingley spent much of his life and career at sea. He worked on offshore commercial vessels and as Chief Engineer and Captain on large luxury yachts in the Mediterranean.  On his return to Canada in 2002, he began working with his father in the office trailer industry.  He now uses that experience, combined with his earlier experience in marine engineering and high-end customer service, to building high quality office trailers, designed to meet the needs of commercial and individual clients throughout Atlantic Canada.  Geoff also has a lifelong passion for traditional wooden boats, and sailboat restoration. This fine craftsmanship is evident in his attention to detail in each trailer that leaves their yard.

Sarah Hubbard TingleySarah brings a different but complementary skillset to the table.  She first worked as a writer and producer for CBC Newsworld. Then she spent a decade with a national Executive Search firm, working with CEOs and other senior executives on talent management and executive recruitment. She gained invaluable lessons about successful business practices from many of the leading executives and organizations in the country. When she became a mother, she decided to leave work – and the city – for a more balanced family life. She now enjoys the opportunity to work with Geoff as they grow the business with best practices in mind, right here in Nova Scotia.

Where our name comes from

Adare is the name of our 100+-year-old Tancook schooner, one of the oldest schooners in the country.

With her narrow stern, Adare represents the transition between older double-ended schooners and the more modern ones with a flat transom.

Legend has it that the inspiration to build Bluenose II occurred aboard Adare.

She’s ashore now, waiting for us to give her a fine new keel.
